In GS Coaches:

  • Fluorescent Light 18 Watt 18 nos = 324 W = 2.94 Amps
  • Doorway Light 18 W 6 nos = 108 W = 0.98 Amps
  • Lavatory Light CFL  2 x 11 W   4 nos = 88W  = 0.8 Amps
  • Gangway Light CFL 11 W 2 nos = 22 W = 0.2 Amps
  • Wash Light 14 W 2 nos = 28 W = 0.24 Amps
  • Pass Alarm Indication Lamp LED 8 W 2 nos
  • BLDC Fan 400 mm sweep 32 W 27 nos = 864 W = 7.86 Amps
  • Mobile Charger Socket 3 pin 2 W  4 nos = 8 W = 0.07 Amps
  • Total = 1440 W = 13.09 Amps  
In CN Coaches:

  • Fluorescent Light 18 Watt 18 nos = 324 W = 2.94 Amps
  • Doorway Light 18 W 4 nos = 72 W = 0.98 Amps
  • Lavatory Light CFL  11 W  4 nos = 88W  = 0.8 Amps
  • Gangway Light CFL 11 W 2 nos = 22 W = 0.2 Amps
  • Wash Light 14 W 2 nos = 28 W = 0.24 Amps
  • Night Light LED 1 W 8 nos = 8 W = 0.07 Amps 
  • Pass Alarm Indication Lamp LED 8 W 2 nos
  • Mobile charging socket 3 pin 2W 18 nos = 36 W = 0.33 Amps
  • Fan 400 mm sweep 38 W 27 nos = 864 W = 7.86 Amps
  • Laptop cum Mobile Charger Socket 5 pin with 100 VA inv  65W  4 nos =260 W = 2.36 Amps

Harness Couplers in Coaches

In pre-2011 coaches we used to have this kind of arrangement:

 Front side is power cable, back side is the control connectors.
 These days we have harting connectors for both power (440V) and control 110V connections to RMPU

 Recently we found some harting couplers failing in new coaches.
