Harness Couplers in Coaches

In pre-2011 coaches we used to have this kind of arrangement:

 Front side is power cable, back side is the control connectors.

 These days we have harting connectors for both power (440V) and control 110V connections to RMPU

 Recently we found some harting couplers failing in new coaches.

Coach Certificates received for the First Time

It is mandatory for RCF/ICF to supply to zonal railways coach booklets/certificates for all new coaches. in order to ascertain 

• Vendors of equipments
• Warranty period
• Governing Specification

After hard chasing with RCF, we were successful in obtaining soft copies of the certificates.

There are still shortcomings in the document, but the process has begun.
